We are administrators, nurses, social workers, teachers, bankers, lawyers, service providers, senior real estate specialists, financial planners—and the list goes on. United by a shared purpose, we work to enrich the lives of older adults in our community. Individuals, groups, and organizations within the VBTFA are ready to offer their support. New ideas and projects are always welcome. Bring your creativity and energy!
The VBTFA held its first meeting in 1993, with strong support from the late Mayor Meyera Oberndorf and City Manager James Spore. In its first year, the Task Force published a senior resource guide and hosted its first legislative breakfast. Since then, VBTFA has continued to support older adults through the development of resources, advocacy events, and community projects.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month and are from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. From 8:30 AM "Eat, Meet & Greet", 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Business Meeting, Guest Speaker, Announcements, and Introductions.
